Obama’s unfortunate drilling gambit

When you have a situation where the collateral is quality of life, the opponent has already stated they won’t work with you, and the biggest downside of the alternative is that you just piss some people off, compromise doesn’t make sense.

Health care reform passes, still more to do

More than a year after the topic was initially raised in congress, the House of Representatives has passed the health insurance reform bill. And despite the endless TV coverage, the constant back and forth and the unprecedented amount of public attention, a lot of people still don’t seem to understand what that means or what’s to come.

A red band trailer for the movie Kick-Ass has drawn attention to another one of the characters from the film. Her superhero name is Hit-Girl and she’s 13. It hasn’t become a big deal yet, but there’s potential for some controversy over this role to arise.
